안녕하세요, 여러분! 잘 지내요? – Hey everyone, doing well?
An Interesting fact in Korea is that people that have contact with foreigners, usually pick a name to easy their lives during comunnication and vice-versa.
For example if a girl named Jeniffer goes to Korea and has a lot of Korean friends, usually is hard to say her name, because in Hangul, they don’t have a consonant that brings the “f” sound properly, so usually, people would call her “JENIPO” (제니퍼) as “p” is the closest that they got for this sound following the American pronunciation. The same happens with Korean names abroad, so people in those situation pick an “international name” or a “Korean name” to avoid those situations.
Historical and epic names keep the same, as you can observe in the show “Mind-Blowing Breakthroughs” That’s a really interesting one, where you can see historical facts in a really funny way!
Take a look and let me know if you find names and type it down in Hangul (Korean letters).
나중에 보자! – See you later!
