Attendre: it is not “to attend”, it is to wait

Blesser: it is not “blessed”, it is to wound

Journée: it is not “journey”, it is day

Location: it is not “location”, it is rental

Coin: it is not “coin”, it is corner

Affaire: it is not “affair”, it is business

Caractère: it is not “character”, it is “personality”

Demander: it is not “to demand”, it is “to ask”

Engagé: it is not “engaged”, it is “committed”

Grave: it is not “grave”, it is serious

Lecture: it is not “lecture”, it is reading

Main: it is not “main”, it is hand

Pain: it is not “pain”, it is bread

As soon as I saw the title of your post, I immediately thought of one word in Russian. And this is шампиньон (it is pronounced like champignon in French).

In French it means any kind of mushrooms. But for Russian it is a special kind of edible mushrooms that you can always buy at any supermarket. As I know it is called champignon de Paris in French :relaxed:
