Il passato prossimo is formed by
Verb To Be - Verbo Essere (Presente Indicativo) or Verb To Have - Verbo Avere (Presente Indicativo)
plus the Participio passato

  • Let’s conjugate the ver Mangiare (to eat):

Io ho mangiato - I have eaten
Tu hai mangiato - You have eaten
Lei/Lui ha mangiato - She/He/It has eaten
Noi abbiamo mangiato - We have eaten
Voi avete mangiato - You have eaten
Essi hanno mangiato - They have eaten

  • Now let’s see with the verb Cadere (to fall):

Io sono caduto - I was fallen
Tu sei caduto - You were fallen
Lei/Lui è caduta/o - She/He/It was fallen
Noi siamo caduti - We were fallen
Voi siete caduti - You were fallen
Essi sono caduti - They were fallen

And now with the verb Salire (to move up)

Io sono salito - I have gone up
Tu sei salito - You have gone up
Lei/Lui è salita/o - She/He/It has gone up
Noi siamo saliti - We have gone up
Voi siete saliti - You have gone up
Essi sono saliti - They have gone up

Play attention on these:

  • With the reflexive verbs, the Past Participle will flez with the sex and number of the subject (Lei è salita - Noi siamo saliti)
  • This is how you can use the present perfect in the Italian language. You must use Il Passato Prossimo

Try to play attention in what kin of situation you can use it, why don’t you put in the comment a phrase with Il Passato Prossimo? Also put your question here if you have
