We just finished our breakfast and we had a discussion about the bread rolls. In Germany there are many words for bread rolls depending a lot on the region.
I use the term “Brötchen” which basically means small breads.
But you can also say: Semmel, Schrippe, Wecken, Rundstück, Laibchen…
The same I found with meat patties.
We call them “Bulette”.
Other ways to say the same thing are:
Frikadelle, Fleischpflanzerl, Fleischküchle, Klops,…
