Hi, Spanish lovers! I hope you are having a beautiful day
On this occasion, we would like you to express your opinions in this post about the tools you like the most when learning Spanish, as well as what you would add or improve to achieve a better learning experience.
Here are three of the many tools that LingoPie has to offer you:
1 - Mashup
2 - Pop Quiz
3 - Say It
Are any of these three features your favorites, or is there another tool that you like better? What do you think needs to be improved or added?
You can express what you want in the comments
Hi, one of the features I like the most is the speed control, I don’t manage to understand every word when it is full speed, so I use this feature a lot
Yes, this feature is fundamental to not lose the thread of conversations and also to measure the progress of how advanced we’re in understanding Spanish. Thank you very much!
The periodic quizzes every five words is very useful to me. It helps create better periodization of recall.
Mostly I’d just like to see all the tools that are currently active work as they’re supposed to. I am still frequently finding flashcards that don’t have the word being tested in the accompanying video and occasional words mis-translated (although this seems to be getting better).
I’d like to see the addition of music videos or something similar. Songs are a great way to add vocabulary because the music helps with memory.
Thanks for your hard work. I really enjoy the whole program and concept.
Hi!
I agree that music videos help a lot to learn the language.
Regarding the flashcards, as you rightly mention, they will be getting better and better so that they have all the potential they have to have.
Thank you very much for your comment!
I like the speed control and the voice one. It helps you mot only pick up the words at a pace you can be comfortable with, but with the speaking one, it helps you hone in on the accent.
It is a tie, I love the speed control and the optional English subtitles. I can watch a few shows at full speed, but others are hopeless above 70%. The English subtitles help when there is an idiom I don’t know. Sometimes all the words are familiar, but the meaning is lost until I turn on the English subtitles.
I would add a way for us to quiz ourselves in the reverse meaning we see the definition in the language we know and we have to come up (maybe type in?) with the Spanish word. Also a way for us to download our word list would be very cool
I would like to see a list of episodes I have watched so I can rewatch an episode without starting with episode 1 and “nexting” thru every episode until I find the one I want.
My recommendation to watch an exact episode you want is to click on the Icon “I” you have under the show. There you can choose to watch any episode you want.
I hope this was helpful!!
I would love it if you could click on and save complete phrases because often word by word doesn’t translate to the phrase being used. Usually, I know the individual words, but when they are together in a sentence they have completely different meanings!
Hi, usually when you go to your flashcards the word is always given in the context it was used.
This is very useful to better memorize the word and help you understand its meaning.
