Tongue twisters in Russian!

Today I bring you a fun way to practice Russian pronunciation: скороговорки or tongue twisters! :game_die:

  • На дворе трава, на траве дрова. Не руби дрова на траве двора.
    There’s grass in the yard, there’s wood on the grass. Don’t chop wood on the grass of the yard.

  • Карл у Клары украл кораллы, Клара у Карла украла кларнет. Если бы Карл не крал у Клары кораллы, то Клара не крала б у Карла кларнет.
    Carl stole coral from Clara, Clara stole a clarinet from Carl. If Carl had not stolen corals from Clara, Clara would not have stolen a clarinet from Carl.

  • Ехал Грека через реку. Видит Грека в реке рак. Сунул в реку руку Грека. Рак за руку Грека — цап.
    The Greek was driving across the river. The Greek sees a cancer in the river. The Greek put his hand in the river. The cancer took the Greek’s hand and pinched it.

  • Корабли лавировали, лавировали, да не вылавировали.
    The ships maneuvered and maneuvered, but did not manage to maneuver.
